Living Lab
iApS2030 is developed as a living lab. In line with the objectives and identity of the Unit, we aim to enforce the Council of Europe Reference Framework Competencies for Democratic Culture. Its Inner Development Goals are to be learned by European Higher Education Students through the pedagogy of service-learning in the areas of (planetary) health and (global) social justice.
It is ‘living’ because we stand for research, policy and decision-making, and capacity-building projects that mature as students accommodate European values, attitudes, skills, knowledge and critical understanding within their interior.
It is a lab because it is open to innovation and sustainable ecosystems in real-life environments. Think long-term, plasticity, collaboration, lifecycle approach, sustainable impact, co-creation, testing and scaling up innovations & businesses are keywords that are orchestrated among citizens, research organisations, companies and government agencies/levels.
