iApS2030 explores possibilities to embed global climate challenges with local educational initiatives involving university students, teaching staff and researchers. iApS2030 emphasises the connection between research, innovation, and knowledge transfer in order to design projects with a local and global.

The UNIT is also committed to the natural environment as a therapeutic space and the use of natural materials (such as wool or cork) in the design of devices for healthcare. The “health promotion in all environments” strategy allows iApS2030 to promote service-learning projects at learning institutions, working places and urban planning city departments, together with other community stakeholders.
